Shota graduated from Georgian Technical University where he studied architecture and urban planning. Later on, he received a master’s degree in the same faculty from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.
During his student years, Shota worked in an architectural company AG&P Architects. In the coming years, he became involved in managing architectural projects for the company Laboratory of Architecture.
In 2016 he became a director of regional branch office for an U.S.-based international architectural company Base 4 International. He led the Tbilisi-based office Base 4 Georgia.
Shota co-founded a multidisciplinary, non-governmental organization “Urban Experiments” in 2015 which explores the urban environment, conducts seminars on various important architectural matters, and promotes mutual cooperation between urbanists and civilians. In 2019, Shota co-founded an architectural company teamtwo and is currently the chief operations officer of the company.
Apart from this, Shota is actively involved in educational matters and since 2019, he has been teaching architectural planning and civil engineering at Ilia State University.
